Tuesday 5 December 2023
9.30am - 12 noon

Where?

Moneypenny, Western Gateway, Wrexham, LL13 7ZB

What?

Finally.
A leadership event that delivers practical guidance from people who’ve actually walked the walk. Plus a golden opportunity to talk to and learn from them, face to face.

You'll get:

  • A blueprint for leadership that genuinely puts people first

  • Inspiration and tips to revolutionise your organisation from within

  • The opportunity to discuss your ideas and challenges with the panellists

  • Networking with other invited guests

Why?

We’re Wrapped – a branding, digital marketing and communications agency.

We spend our days talking to business leaders. It’s what we do. So, when we meet someone special, we really sit up and take notice.

And these three women are exceptional.

GLYNIS FREW

Group Franchise Training and Development Director, The Property Franchise Group (former Managing Director, Hunters)

Glynis’s 20 years at Hunters saw the business expand to more than 200 franchises. Her twin focus on team and customer goes right back to her earliest days, on the family milk round. She cites estate agency as the ultimate people business.

“Keep people at the heart and you won’t go far wrong.”

JOANNA SWASH

Group CEO, Moneypenny

Moneypenny has enjoyed more than a decade on the Sunday Times list of best companies to work for.

CEO Joanna is all about people and culture – but with business achievements including US expansion and membership of The Prime Minister’s Business Council, she’s living proof that people-first doesn’t mean profit second.

DAME JACKIE DANIEL

CEO, Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Dame Jackie’s years at the  helm of NewcastleHospitals – yes, as in Channel 4’s Geordie Hospital – have been characterised by an uncompromising commitment to team wellbeing as the cornerstone of good leadership.

“My overall aim is to support people to be the best they can be. Positive culture comes through leadership, good governance and staff engagement.”

The event

Expect inspiring and practical advice that you won’t find on Google, YouTube or a TED Talk.

This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with three inspiring leaders, sharing their business brilliance and insights. In front of a small, invite-only audience at Moneypenny’s award-winning HQ, Wrapped CEO Kate Eady will chair a panel discussion with Dame Jackie Daniel, Joanna Swash and Glynis Frew, unlocking the secrets of their success and – spoiler alert – unveiling how, and why, people-first leadership works in the real world.

Then, in three breakout rooms, Jackie, Joanna and Glynis will answer your questions about their specific areas of expertise, giving you the chance to get round the table with them and workshop challenges and ideas with like-minded participants.

You'll get inspiration and practical takeaways from our unplugged leaders, plus a golden opportunity to network with them. We're laying on coffees and pastries, plus there'll be time to connect with other invited guests. If you'd like a tour around Moneypenny's amazing offices, that's thrown in too.

Hotels

Let’s be honest, one of the more recent USPs for Wrexham is that if you stroll down its picturesque streets, you might jump bump into Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The pair bought struggling Wrexham AFC, the third oldest professional association football team in the world, in 2020, inspiring both attention and promotion.

We can’t promise R & R will be around for our event but this bustling and historic city has a lot of other attractions too. If you’re able to stay over, we’ve shortlisted a few hotels you might like to consider. From city centre escapes to countryside spas, have a browse and treat yourself to more than just a bed for the night.
